In late 2019, I had the pleasure of working on the first ever new years show for Disney's Animal Kingdom. We were a total of 5 artists working on this show in conjunction with performers, lighting, animal programs, and video ops teams across the company. This show has a special place in my heart as Animal Kingdom was a park I spent a lot of time in as a kid.
With just 5 artists on the team, we each carried a lot of hats. Here's a breakdown:
